Luca makes tiles in Bologna. Daniel, in Manchester, bought forty thousand pounds of them. Daniel: "Invoice? Lovely. It's in the post." It was not in the post. Luca emailed. Politely. Eleven times. So he tried the English courts online. Money Claim Online needs a UK address. Bologna doesn't count. Then Luca called INTERCOL. Priya checked Companies House. Daniel's accounts: overdue. She sent a letter before action, from a London address. Added statutory interest: eight per cent over base rate, plus a hundred pounds per invoice. Then a statutory demand. Twenty-one days.
